BRV Vineyard

Good soil is the foundation for great hay and straw.  We keep ours as natural as possible, limiting fertilizers and glycophosphates.  We believe a mixture of warm and cool season grasses is important to your livestock..and ours.

Originating from my father's herd at Peaceful Valley in Branson, MIssouri, our registered Texas Longhorn herd live with natural pastures, clean water and bright, sunny days.

Custom Baling

First plantings were in 2008, now 1500 Chambourcin, Cabernet Franc, Traminette, Vidal Blanc and Norton vines are producing full-flavored grapes with no irrigation, limited fungicides, no glycophosphates, organic insecticide and only manure for fertilizer.

Mathon-Aste Farms

Mathon-Aste

The "man from Mathon" or "mountain farmer" is the root of my surname, Mungenast.  While the bluffs of the Mississippi are not quite mountains, our elevated fields and rolling hills certainly contribute to our farm's success.

Shetland Sheep and Kiko Goats are also part of our rotational grazing/natural herd practices.

Bella Rio Vista

Loosely translated as "beautiful river view", BRV gives tribute to our views of the river valley below and the Calhoun County ridgeline to our East.

We use BRV and Bella Rio Vista copyrights for our Vineyard and our Longhorns.
